Scholarships and Awards

Students majoring in Political Science have direct access to varied scholarships and awards. The Department offers a larger number of scholarships that are targeted towards students in Political Sciences. In addition, it is the home of advisors for prestigious national scholarships such as the Rhodes, Truman, and Marshall scholarships.

Due to the generosity of its alumni, the Political Science Department is annually able to award scholarships to highly qualified Political Science majors. These scholarships are awarded in the late Spring, and require that interested students submit a single “standard” application that will enable them to be considered for all scholarships.

Applications are now being taken for scholarships and are due to 316 Woodburn Hall no later than Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Click here to download the 2009 Scholarship Application Form .

The Department also has a long record of achievement in prestigious national and international awards, i.e., the Rhodes, Truman, and Marshall Scholarships. Political Science Professor Robert DiClerico serves as the University’s advisor to these scholarships.
